Welcome to Class 10.
Our class consists of children in Year Six.
Parents/carers will be able to follow their children's progress throughout the school year. Please follow our school Twitter feed which shows the brilliant work/activities we will be doing. The Twitter feed contains images and videos of work created by the students and teacher updates.
Please find below a copy of the newsletter for Class 10. Inside you will find lots of information about various aspects of Year 6, such as homework, reading days, SATs and Robinwood.
SATs
Our Year 6 children will be completing their SATs (Standard Assessment Tests) during Monday 13th May - Thursday 16th May 2024. These tests are to measure children’s educational achievements in: Spelling Punctuation and Grammar, Reading and Mathematics. For more information, please click the link below.

Robinwood
Whilst in Year 6, we have the opportunity to go to Robinwood which is a 3-day, 2-night residential course. The children will be taking part in 15 exciting activities which challenge, develop teamwork and stimulate the imagination. This year we will be going to Robinwood on Monday 17th June to Wednesday 19 June 2024.
Mobile Phones
In Year 6, we understand that, for some children, part of becoming more independent includes walking to and/or from school on their own and that, because of this, some children will need to bring a mobile phone with them to school. Once the children arrive at school, their phone should be switched off then handed in as the children come into class. We will look after the phones during the day and give them out at home time where they should remain off until the children leave the school gates.
Homework links/Explanation
As stated in our newsletter, homework is set every Friday via Google Classroom and should be returned by the following Friday (on Google Classroom).
